Hi all looking to get started in airsoft and could do with a hand in the right direction.
Have done paintball and shooting at a firing range but never airsoft Ive got friends in bristol who are in a club up that way and I have to say it looks amazing so was wondering what I have to do about joining a club and getting the right kit.
have been looking at airsoft guns and the choice is massive plus it says if your NOT a member of a club then the gun has to be 50% bright green I dont want to sound out of order but would rather join a club then be happy spending my money on a airsoft gun which looks the part Smile any help would be great I live in truro but happy to travel within a good distance of that.

Many thanks Phil

welcome,
i moved down to the promise land from bristol at the start of the year. i have played airsoft for a very long time, way before UKARA came along. you need to airsoft a number of times in a space of time at the same airsoft they will give you a ukara form to send off to a airsoft shop which allows you to purchase airsoft guns.
don't waste your money on two tone stuff as you will bin them as soon as you get your UKARA. just get yourself down to the site and hire the stuff and get a fell for the sport. you won't look back, 9 out of 10 people come back. you couldn't off pick a better place to try. this site is so friendly. people will help you all the way, top site and a good time to start as CAA he's a new site opening soon.
look forward to seeing you at the site soon.

if you like airsoft and want to but stuff try and not go at it like a bull in a china shop, try different stuff most people will let you have a go on there guns, you will get a feel of what you like and what suits your style of play.

Is there a league where you play different regions as my friends are in the 13th Airsoft Platoon and wouldnt mind playing against them one day maybe Smile

Hiya bud,
yep get yourself some camo clothing and some boots, the going underfoot can be a bit uneven and slightly damp at times. The airsoft defence thing is at least 3 games in no less than 2 months (3 games over a period of more than 2 months), and as Disco said the site will then give you a form to fill in and send off so you can buy a gun (your site membership number is also your ukara number).
Airsoft is a bit different to paintball in that although there are teams around, there isn`t a structured league. Some of the players have been to other sites to play but it`s more of an inter site friendly thing.
